Kicking off the new year with a new round of tutorials. This time around, we are going down the rabbit hole of the Article Layout Builder in Astroid. Once again, we will be using the Boilerplate Template as a springboard. In this first webinar in the series, we are very much focused on the integration on the Joomla side of the coin.
In this comprehensive breakdown, we examine the origin and functionality of various elements, including standard Joomla Article Elements, Thumbnails, and select Astroid Article Options. While the Boilerplate Template serves as an excellent foundation, it's essential to develop a fundamental understanding of each element's source and purpose. This knowledge becomes particularly crucial in the second webinar of our series, where we'll need to precisely distinguish between Joomla-derived and Astroid-derived elements when working within the Astroid Layout Builder.

We examine the methodology of mapping specific Astroid Article Layouts to Joomla Categories, the process of reconfiguring these connections, and how these modifications influence the presentation of elements—particularly Astroid Widgets—across different categories. In our subsequent tutorial, we'll shift our focus to the Astroid framework, specifically distinguishing between traditional Joomla elements and reusable Astroid Widgets within the Layout Builder.
