We have covered a lot of ground, touching on many different aspects of Astroid Joomla integration, from Templates and Layouts, Menus and Astroid Headers, Widgets, Joomla Articles, and Astroid Article Options. Now it is time to cover two final bases: Menus and Modules. We will get to Modules in the next really final webinar in this series.
In this webinar, we are going to once again start by covering some Joomla basics. The reason being that if you don't know how Joomla menus, submenus, and, for that matter, menu header items work, you don't stand a chance of understanding Astroid's Mega Menu integration with Joomla. I have said it before and will say it again: Menus really are the backbone of any Joomla site, regardless of what Template or Template Framework you happen to be running on it.
We start by looking at some bare-bones Joomla Menu Management. The truth of the matter is that we will need to, at the very least, be able to shunt batches of menus around and organise them in groups, for example, organising and placing them under Header Items in our Mega Menu. Then we have a before-and-after look at the Astroid Mega Menu Options tab in our Mega Menu. We look at the options we have to add menus both before and after we create our very own menu header with a group of submenus organised under it.
Having got our very own batch of menus organised at the Joomla end, we explore how to publish them via the Astroid Mega Menu tab that we looked at previously and are ready to roll. In the front end, we observe the changes and are now masters of the Astroid Mega Menu, at least in terms of Menu items. But wait there is more, specifically modules and how to organise menus and modules in a grid, and that is what we will look at in the very last article in this series.
