In the previous two tutorials of this series, we laid the groundwork for the Joomla and Astroid integration covered in this tutorial. We accomplished two main objectives: firstly, we clarified which article formatting elements originate from Joomla and which come from the Astroid Framework. Secondly, we explored the various types of article layouts available within the Astroid Framework. In this tutorial, we'll tie everything together before moving on to one final tutorial in this series, which will focus on Mega Menus
As fantastic as Astroid Articles are, we need to address a few key points before fully harnessing their potential. We examine the connection between Joomla Menu Items and the Astroid Article Blog section, specifically focusing on the Articles listing options. We'll explore some specific functionality in the process. We also take time to look at some exceptions that can be applied in the Joomla Blog Options Tab of the Joomla Blog Category Menu. Additionally, at the article-by-article level, we do something similar. We examine Single Article Options in the Astroid Back End and establish the connection with a couple of random Joomla Articles in the Joomla back end. Here too, we explore how to make exceptions to the rules
Last but by no means least, we go the extra mile by exploring how to mix and match different flavours of Astroid Templates. Specifically, we'll examine the concept of applying different Astroid Templates with various settings to different Joomla Category Menu Listing Items. This is a topic we will definitely explore in more detail sometime next year. Find Out More About Astroid HERE.
